And it is good to be here.

Which means we'll be doing a figuring things out as we go, or as the meme says, FUCK IT LET'S DO IT LIVE.

So, live it is.

We are going to have the things that made the old issues great: fiction, interviews, articles and classics. And we are adding in what i've been wanting to have since the first issue, Poetry. Poems, articles, interviews, and even poetic classics.

There will still be an ebook edition of the portions which requires subscriptions so anyone can buy just one issue if they want. Ebook subscriptions as well! Through the fantastic folks over at Weightless books.

Print? yes! We'll have our annual edition of LampLight out in paperback each year, putting all these amazing works in book form.

The Brag Box!

This was stolen whole heartedly from a publication that J.F. Gonzalez used to write for call Afraid. The idea is simple, it will have blurbs of upcoming or recently released books letting the authors 'brag' about the early praise for their titles, AND let you, the reader, see them and maybe entice you into picking up some of the titles.

POETRY

Ah yes, poetry, of all shapes. Poems, articles about poems, articles about how to write poems, hopefully even more to come.

Each issue will basically have two sections: paid and free posts. Paid subscribers will get to see everything

Now, there will be ads. so let's just jump in and talk about that. Because for the most part, ads suck. So that's the first thing we are going to do, not let our ads suck. No tracking, no affliate links, and no random crap. Ads will be things you, a reader of indie dark fiction, will want to know about, namely books.

There will only be a single ad per post, and it will be clearly marked as such. The hope is to bring to attention some of the fantastic books that are being written and published all over the indie world (and admittedly help keep the lights on, since we RAISED OUR PAY RATES, booyah)

I'm going to guess there is an author, maybe two, out there who is thinking "so... what about subMISSIONS?" and for right now, we are going to be CLOSED to subs, so don't send me anything. We are going to get things up and running, get our footing again before we open the gates.

But open the gates we will. The future of horror is in the slush pile. I've said that before, I'll say it always. There is no better feeling for me as an editor to bring you, the reader, someone new who is amazing.
